Surya

Surya was the ninth person fired. Everyone voted against him in the Boardroom. He wasn't a leader was the general consensus.

My advice for Surya:

In order to be a leader, you have to have respect for your teammates, and Surya didn't have that.

Even if you don't like a person, you can respect the fact that the person is there and keep that respect foremost in your mind when you talk to them. If you don't have that respect, or can't find it, then what takes the place of it is, no doubt, negativity due to the fact you find what you don't like about him or her and magnify it in your mind.

You must find that respect from deep in your heart and build on it. If you don't, the results you are getting are usually no one's fault but your own. Find the respect and project it to others. You can find out how here: "Do You Work With The Mental Or The Physical?"

 


Surya, 24, was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania and raised in Old Bridge, New Jersey.

Surya's entrepreneurial spirit was evident early on when he started a successful e-commerce strategy company at age 15.

Subsequently, he attended college and worked full-time as director of marketing at a publishing/web company, overseeing a significant marketing budget.

While at Rutgers University, he was class president and commencement speaker, graduating with honors and earning a B.S. degree in finance and psychology.

Today, Surya is a brand manager for a top-ranking Fortune 500 company, where he crafts corporate strategy to help the company evolve its media plans to keep up with changing consumer habits.
