Andy Andy is 23 years old, and comes from Boca Raton, FL. He says, "Solutions that really drive companies come from younger people. Bill Gates, Steve Jobswhen they created their vision, they were really young." - Entertainment Weekly When he was 13, he co-founded a concert package company focusing on both corporate and individual clients. In 1999, he won the U.S. National Debate Championship in Commentary Speaking, and I'm sure he plans to put his knowledge to good use when he's in the boardroom.. Andy graduated from Harvard University, where he was a founding member of an organization dedicated to fighting infectious diseases in developing countries. He is a competitive tennis player. These are only my opinions. Form your own and let me know what you think. September 16, 2006 Andy keeps having to fight the *youth* image, but he's pretty cool, and I predict he'll stay awhile. September 23, 2006 Andy had some great ideas. He's really adding to the team. September 30, 2006 Andy is really looking good, I think. I also think he has the respect of the other men there. And as Donald Trump said, respect is the prime ingredient of a leader. October 7, 2006 Well, Andy really shined this episode, didn't he? And, man, did he get compensated! He was able to play tennis with a guy whose poster has been on his bedroom wall since he was a kid! Talk about rewards! October 14, 2006 Andy is a stand up guy. Have I said that before? I'll say it again. Andy is a stand up guy. :) In the Boardroom, John wanted to use him as a scapegoat. I wonder if John thought that if he brought in who he considered to be the weakest link - Andy, that would save him as Project Manager on a failed project. He tried to point out Andy's youth. Youth evidently means ignorance. Don't get me wrong, it does in a lot of cases, but there was nothing to substantiate it. And guess what? Trump didn't fall for it. :) October 21, 2006 Andy, Andy, Andy. I like you. I thought Trump liked you. I still like you. :) I can't imagine that each and every one of you don't have a cell phone. Maybe the personal cell phones have been banned and each team only gets one. Nah, they have to call the team members on something. I don't think a pay phone will work too well. OK. So maybe they are allotted two phones per team. If one is gone, the other isn't much good for communicating. At any rate, I'm glad you're still around. October 28, 2006 Andy, you did fantastic! You held your own and you came through. You were a great Project Manager! I'll bet seeing your work right up there in big lights made your day. You stayed focused, you were out to prove yourself, and I think you did. November 4, 2006 Andy just did his work this week. There didn't seem to be much conflict. November 12, 2006 Andy was upset that they were talking around him, leaving him out of the equation. November 18, 2006 Andy, Andy, Andy. What do you think about putting some gray in your hair? No one was paying attention to your good ideas. Maria railroaded over you. Man oh man. You need to develop a "look" that says, "Listen. I am speaking." If you don't, you're not going to last much longer. Trump said you've got to step up to the plate. I think you're ready! November 25, 2006 Andy fired!
Andy was the project manager this week. He had some bad business ideas.
For example: Giving the workers a $100 bonus -- before the work was
done, no less. And keeping the food setting until AFTER the work was
done. Give him a few years experience, though, and I think he'll have
a good sense of business. His idea of a successful looking bottle will
certainly change by then, also. That bottle in no way turned people's
minds back to Pepsi. He was fired due to his inability to keep his workers
in line AND to keep them from continually complaining about him. Any comments? mailto:comments@apprenticereview.com
